Community Grant
A New Community-Building Initiative from GMC Projects
At GMC Projects, we believe in the power of community. When we use our time and skills to help others, it creates a ripple effect that can transform neighbourhoods for the better, and this grant is our way of shining a light on the individuals who embody that spirit. We’re thrilled to launch the first annual Know Your Neighbour Grant—a new initiative to celebrate the everyday changemakers living among us, literally.
What Is It?
The Know Your Neighbour Grant recognizes one outstanding tenant of a GMC Projects property who has shown a genuine passion for and commitment to building community. Whether it’s through volunteering, caregiving, artistic contributions, championing a cause, fundraising efforts, environmental stewardship, or simply being a remarkable neighbour, we want to honour those tenants who make our world a little brighter. Additionally, we will donate in their name to a local charity of the recipient’s choice in order to further the impact of their goodwill.
The recipient will receive:
$1,000 for themselves
$1,000 to donate to a local charity of their choice
Who Can Apply?
We welcome self-nominations as well as nominations of others. If you or someone you know is making a meaningful difference—big or small—we want to hear your story. Nominees must be an existing tenant of GMC Projects.
Ideal candidates may be:
Long-time volunteers
Community connectors
Environmental stewards
Everyday neighbours who go above and beyond
